Kings XI Punjab Team IPL 6-2013 Kings XI Punjab Squad

Kings XI Punjab  is one of the nine teams of Indian Premier League which was founded in 2008. It is a  cricket team based in Mohali, Punjab, wherein the team plays its home matches at PCA Stadium Mohali. Later after IPL 2010, there Home ground also included Dharmashala. Presently the team is captained and coached both by a former Australian Wicket keeper and Batsman Adam Gilchrist. The team is owned by Ness Wadia, Bollywood Actress Preity Zinta, The Oberoi group, Karan Paul and Mohit Burman.

The team had a very slow start in the inaugural year of IPL thus couldn't secure a good position for itself. Up till now Kings XI Punjab doesn't have any wins in their hands neither in Indian Premier League nor in Champions League Twenty20. Moreover in the IPL 2010 season they ended at the last position which was not so good record for the team as well as the owners. Though the team won many individual matches in the IPL but didn't won the tournament even once till now.

The team has released its players for IPL 2013 with the same owners .Captaincy in IPL 6 will be done by Adam Gilchrist, but he has been replaced from the position of coach by Darren Lehmann.

Kings XI Punjab as the winners of IPL:
There has been none of the IPL wins in the hands of Kings XI Punjab  till now, although it has a total of 50% win percentage as per individual matches.

Two new players have been introduced in the team by Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 2013 namely Manpreet Gony  and Luke Pomersbach to try out its luck for chance of winning IPL 6.

Kolkata Knight Riders Team IPL 6-2013 Kolkata Knight Riders Squad


Kolkata Knight riders nick named as KKR, is one of the member teams of Indian Premier League. As the name suggests it is a cricket franchise which represents Kolkata and was founded in the year 2008 and has a Home ground the Iconic Eden Gardens. The team is owned by Red Chillies Entertainment, Shahrukh Khan being the manager of the Entertainment company eventually becomes the owner of the team but not solely rather in partnership with the Actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta from the Mehta Group.

Presently the team is captained and coached by Gautam Gambhir  (also will be the captain of IPL 6) and Trevor Bayliss. Saurav Ganguly  also tagged as “Prince of Calcutta” was crowned as Icon Player of the team , who also captained the team in the first and third seasons of the tournament, whereas the mid years were captained by Brendon McCullum. Moreover, Wasim Akram one of high peaked bowler serves as bowling Consultant and mentor of the team. The team was the Champion of IPL 2012.

The owners of KKR have promised a lot of surprises on behalf of the team for the IPL 6 thus expectations are quite high from the team for IPL 2013. In the fifth season KKR made a brilliant comeback that is the reason why people are waiting to see what magic does KKR brings in IPL 2013.

Kolkata Knight Riders as the winning team of IPL:
In year 2012, Kolkata Knight riders made their first and outstanding victory in the Indian Premier League by defeating the defending Champions Chennai Super Kings at their Home Ground  M.A. Chiddambaram Stadium by 5 wickets with the help of brilliant batting of team members Bisla (89 runs from 48 balls) and Jacques Kallis (69 runs out of 49 balls).  Consequently,  Manvinder Bisla was declared as  Man of the Match .

Mumbai Indians Team IPL 6-2013 Mumbai Indians Squad


Mumbai Indians is the Mumbai based cricket team franchise in the Indian Premier League. The team was founded in the year 2008 and is owned by the renowned Reliance Industries together with its 100% subsidiary IndiaWin Sports. Currently for the IPL 2013 the team is captained and coached by Ricky Ponting and John Wright. The results of IPL 6 will be the evidence of the fact that whether the efforts of the respective teams captain and Coach worked out or not.

The Home ground of the team is famous Wankhede Stadium located in Mumbai. From 2007 auction till 2010 edition Mumbai Indians made the most expensive bid. The team logo has the team name engraved on the Sudarshan Chakra. In the transfer window 2008-09 Mumbai Indians dealt two swap deals with Ashish Nehra swapped with Shikhar Dhawan of Delhi Dare Devils and Robin Uthappa swapped with Zaheer Khan of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Mumbai Indians has been the runners –up in 2010 in the IPL  when it lost the IPL final  by 22 runs against Chennai Super Kings because of failure to chase 169 runs. The team won none of the tournaments of Indian Premier League but was the winner of the Champions League Twenty20, that took place in the Indian Sub continent .The team defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 31 runs at the final that was held at Chennai. Being a good team of IPL, there are much expectations from this team in the IPL 6 also.

Rajasthan Royals Team IPL 6-2013 IPL Rajasthan Royals Squad


Rajasthan Royal Challengers  is one of the nine teams of Indian Premier League which was founded in 2008. It is a  Cricket  team franchise  based in Jaipur ,Rajasthan with a home ground named as Sawai Mansingh Stadium  situated in Jaipur. Presently the team is captained and coached by Rahul Dravid  and  Paddy Upton who has  replaced  Monty Desai for upcoming IPL 2013 respectively. The team is mainly owned by Manoj Badale, Bollywood  famous actress  Shilpa Shetty and her husband and Lachlan Murdoch(emerging media).

The team has won inaugural edition IPL under the captaincy of Shane Warne an Australian spin legend which was played against the champions Chennai Super Kings. The team has the Mascot Lion named Moochu, wherein team Anthem comprises of signature word “ Halla Bol” sung by Marshell Mathers.

Rajasthan Royal Challengers as the winners of IPL:
The team won the league in 2008 that was the very first tournament of IPL, by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the finals by 3 wickets, thereby they were crowned as champions at the first tournament itself. Though in the beginning the team was possibly considered as the weakest team but later through this victory they raised expectations.

Pune Warriors Team for IPL6 / 2013 IPL Pune Warriors Squad

Pune Warriors India represents Pune in the Indian Premier League, and is a franchise cricket team that was founded in the 2010. The first two season of Indian Premier League was not played by Pune Warriors. The team was amongst the two new teams that were launched in the year 2011 into IPL one being it and the other being Kochi Tuskers Kerala. The bid that was made by Sahara Adventure Sports Limited to bring in Pune Warriors was the highest   bid up till now in the IPL.

The team is captained by Yuvraj Singh and coached by former Indian Cricketer Praveen Amre specifically for the IPL6, wherein Allan Donald serves as the bowling coach for the team. The home ground of team is the newly constructed Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium located in Pune. The team  has a logo of  spear wielding warrior riding a stallion, together with teams name. Wherein the color of the team is Turquoise blue and Silver specifically designed for the season 2012.

Being introduced in the mid of the year 2010,the team obviously did not played any matches up to 2010.Further in the next years i.e. 2011 and 2012, it played but couldn't qualify up to the finals hence it makes it clear that the team is not the recipient of any of the IPL trophies up till now. Though the team members have hopes for IPL 2013, which depends on their efforts and luck both.

Delhi Daredevils Team IPL6/2013 IPL Delhi Daredevils Squad


 Delhi daredevils is one of the Delhi based cricket franchise in the Indian Premier League. The team is owned by GMR group and was founded in 2008. Presently  for the IPL 2013 team is captained and coached by Mahela Jayawardene (replaced Virendra Sehwag) and former South African Cricketer Eric Simons. The home ground of the team is located in Delhi and is actually the famous historic Feroz Shah Kotla Ground. Virendra Sehwag was titled as the iconic player for the team . Furthermore, it is expected that Delhi Daredevils with KKR will be the opener of IPL 6.

A well known Bollywood action Superstar served as the brand ambassador of the team initially in the year 2008 but denied to continue with it in the year 2009. The teams anthem “ Khel Front Foot pe” is sung by famous Bollywood playback singer Kailash Kher.

Right from the beginning of the IPL in 2008, Delhi Daredevils didn’t had a single tournament victory in their hand, but they still qualified for Champions league twenty20 season 2009 and season 2012. Though in the very beginning of the 2009 season Delhi Daredevils dominated in the league under the Captaincy of Gautam Ghambhir but his captaincy didn’t worked when the team crumbled in the semi finals because of the outstanding batting by Adam Gilchrist of the opponent team.

Moreover, Mushtaq Ahmed a former leg spinner from Pakistan is on the track of joining the team as a spin bowling consultant for the upcoming IPL 2013. Hopefully it’s going to be a legendary fight in IPL 6 between KKR and Delhi Daredevils.
