Right from the beginning of the IPL in 2008, Delhi Daredevils didn’t had a single tournament victory in their hand, but they still qualified for Champions league twenty20 season 2009 and season 2012. Though in the very beginning of the 2009 season Delhi Daredevils dominated in the league under the Captaincy of Gautam Ghambhir but his captaincy didn’t worked when the team crumbled in the semi finals because of the outstanding batting by Adam Gilchrist of the opponent team.
