Chennai Super Kings
is one of the nine teams of Indian Premier League which was founded in
2008.It is a team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu with a home ground named as M.A.
Chidambaram Stadium situated in Chennai. In IPL 2013 the team is captained and
coached by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Stephen Fleming respectively. The team is
owned by India Cements, N Srinivasan being the vice chairman and Managing
Director of the company becomes the
virtual owner of the Chennai Super Kings.
The team has won IPL consecutively twice in the years 2010 & 2011 that is the respective third
season and fourth season and reaches
play-offs every season, thus it is a most successful team of IPL. They had also
grasped the winning Trophy of Champions League Twenty20,thereby becoming first
Indian to win such league. Top scorer and wicket keeper of the league was
Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin
respectively. This team also acquires the position of becoming the most valuable
franchise of IPL.
Chennai Super Kings as the winners of IPL:
The team won the league in 2010, by defeating Mumbai Indians
in the finals by 22 runs. Thereby they were
crowned as champions of the tournament for the first time, Raina a team member
got the title of Man of the Match.
Consecutively in the following year to the team won the IPL
Tournament, this time they defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 65 runs, not
only did they won the tournament rather they also secured their dominance in
the league, by securing highest win percentage in four seasons.

Ashwin, Michael Hussey, Albie Morkel, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo,
Subhramaniam Badrinath, Doug Bollinger, Faf Du Plessis, Ben Hil Fenhaus, Shadab
Jakati, Wriddhiman Saha, Nuwan Kulasekara, Anirudha Srikkanth, Sudeep Tyagi, Scott
Styris, Jiginder Sharma, Suraj Mohamed, Ganpathi Vignesh, Thilan Thushara, Kuthethushri
Vasudevadas,some of these were released from the team for the purpose of IPL
2013 that is IPL 6.
Now is the time to wait and watch whether the team would be
able to secure its constant position as champions in IPL 2013 or it would lose
IPL 6.
