Opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL 6 2013 will commence on 2 April 2013 in Kolkata. Salt Lake stadium will be the place where opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL 2013 will be held. Opening ceremony will be promoted by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd of Shahrukh Khan. IPL has signed up with this company as a promoter of Pepsi IPL 6 201 opening ceremony.

Mr Rajiv Shukla , Chairman of IPL said “We are delighted to have tied up with Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd, which has a proven track record of organizing and executing events on a grand scale. The Opening Ceremony of the Pepsi IPL 2013 will be one of the most spectacular events ever witnessed, in keeping with what will follow in the tournament itself, over the following seven weeks,”

In next few days, more detail will be provide on Opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL 6 2013. After opening ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, 2 April 2013, Pepsi IPL 2013 will be started. Match will be played from 3 April 2013 to 26 May 2013 as per schedule.

Top scorer and wicket keeper of the league was Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin respectively. This team also acquires the position of becoming the most valuable franchise of IPL.

Chennai Super Kings as the winners of IPL:

The team won the league in 2010, by defeating Mumbai Indians in the finals by 22 runs. Thereby they were crowned as champions of the tournament for the first time, Raina a team member got the title of Man of the Match.

Consecutively in the following year to the team won the IPL Tournament, this time they defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 65 runs, not only did they won the tournament rather they also secured their dominance in the league, by securing highest win percentage in four seasons.

Now is the time to wait and watch whether the team would be able to secure its constant position as champions in IPL 2013 or it would lose IPL 6.

On October 25, 2012 a new team named Sunrisers Hyderabad was found which replaced Deccan Chargers for IPL 2013 and onwards. The team is also nicknamed as SH, it is a Hyderabad based Cricket Franchise. Deccan Chargers being terminated by the IPL Governing Council due to some issue is replaced by this team from upcoming IPL 6 onward.

Kumar Sangakkara who was expected to be the captain of the team has initially left the position because of an injury, but he is now captaining the team's first IPL tournament. The team is owned by Kalanidhi Maran who is the chairman and Managing director of Sunnetwork. Wherein the teams management would be dominated by Krishnamachari Srikkanth as mentor, Tom Moody as coach and VVs Laxman as mentor Ambassador. The Home Ground of the team is Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Sunrisers Hyderabad as the winners of IPL:

Sunrisers Hyderabad since being announced as one of the member team in IPL in the very previous year i.e. 2012 after replacing Deccan Chargers, has obviously not played any of the IPL tournaments till date being so it doesn't have any IPL wins and Champions League Twenty20 wins in its hands. Therefore, it would be the IPL 2013 wherein the team would at first try out its luck and team’s effort s, strength and weaknesses. The team is scheduled to play its first match in coming season of IPL on April 5 2013, with its opponent as Pune Warriors.
